Dennis Lopez was named CEO of Canadian real estate investment manager QuadReal Property Group, effective June 5.
The position is new, said a QuadReal spokesman.
The company has been led by Remco Daal, president, Canadian real estate, and Jonathan Dubois-Phillips, president, international real estate. Both will retain their titles.
Mr. Lopez is global chief investment officer of AXA Investment Managers' real assets unit. He will not be replaced, said an AXA spokesman. His duties will be assumed by Laurent Jacquemin, head of transactions, real assets; Charles Daulon du Laurens, global head of the client capital group; and Greg Mansell, global head of applied research.
QuadReal is the real estate investment management unit of the C$123 billion ($90 billion) British Columbia Investment Management Corp., Victoria, which manages British Columbia's public pension and other assets. QuadReal, which manages C$18 billion in assets for BCIMC, was started in June 2016.
