Texas Employees Retirement System, Austin, committed $20 million to QIC Infrastructure Portfolio, a secondary private infrastructure fund, said Meagan Hoffman, spokeswoman, in an email.
The $26.1 billion pension fund previously committed A$65 million ($48.7 million) to QIC Global Infrastructure Fund, which will seek private infrastructure investment opportunities in Australia and in countries belonging to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, in November.
The pension fund also made a commitment of $20 million to a co-investment private equity fund in April, but would not disclose further information. It is the pension fund's fifth private equity commitment so far in 2017.
The nature of this new fund could not be immediately learned.
Ms. Hoffman could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
