Josh Cohen, managing director of defined contribution at Russell Investments, is leaving the company to become head of institutional defined contribution for PGIM's institutional relationship group, according to sources familiar with the move.
Mr. Cohen will serve as an adviser to PGIM's largest DC clients, and he will work with investment managers in several areas including fixed income and real estate, one source said.
PGIM is the global investment business of Prudential Financial.
Mr. Cohen declined to comment, as did Mayura Hooper, a spokeswoman at PGIM. Additional details, including when Mr. Cohen would join PGIM, could not be learned.
Kate Bauman, a Russell spokeswoman, confirmed Mr. Cohen will depart.
“Russell Investments has a deep bench of defined contribution experts and intellectual capital across the firm,” Ms. Bauman wrote in an email. “This team will continue to ensure that we bring forward-thinking advice and solutions to plan sponsors.”
