Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirement System, Columbus, is searching for a private infrastructure manager to run a $20 million commingled fund, said Dennis Smith, chief investment officer.
The $849 million pension fund issued an RFP for its first infrastructure investment to add some further diversification to its real assets portfolio in addition to existing investments in master limited partnerships and timber, Mr. Smith said.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due on May 26. Mr. Smith said the timeline for a decision will take longer than usual, as this is the first time the pension fund is investing in infrastructure.
