Simon Coxeter joined Franklin Templeton Investments on Thursday in Singapore as a managing director, head of investment solutions, Asia.
The position is new, said spokeswoman Melissa Tan.
A Franklin Templeton news release said Mr. Coxeter will be responsible for developing and managing multiasset, multistrategy investment solutions for institutional and retail clients in Asia, ex-Japan and Australia.
Mr. Coxeter comes to the firm from Mercer's Singapore office, where he served as a principal on the firm's investment solutions team.
A spokeswoman for Mercer confirmed Mr. Coxeter left the firm on April 7. She said no direct replacement has been hired but noted that Mercer had added Adrian Worth to its manager research team as part of Mercer's hedge fund boutique as of April 20.
