San Antonio Fire & Police Pension Fund is searching for emerging active domestic large-cap equity and private debt managers, recently released board meeting minutes show.
Further information on the searches could not immediately be learned. The pension fund does not issue RFPs.
Separately, the $2.8 billion pension fund hired William Blair & Co. to manage $45 million in domestic small-cap growth equity.
Funding will come from the termination of existing small-cap growth equity manager Putnam Investments.
The reason for the change could not immediately be learned.
In private equity, the pension fund committed $20 million to Apollo Investment Fund IX, a buyout fund managed by Apollo Global Management.
The pension fund previously committed to predecessor funds Apollo Investment Fund IV, Apollo Investment Fund VI, Apollo Investment Fund VII and Apollo Investment Fund VIII.
