Adam Brown was named global head of marketing at GAM, a spokesman said.
The position is new. Effective July 3, Mr. Brown will be responsible for both sales and product marketing. He will be based in London and report to Tim Rainsford, group head of distribution.
Mr. Brown was head of marketing for EMEA and Asia at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. Columbia Threadneedle spokesman Carlos Melville emailed the following statement regarding his replacement: “We are taking the opportunity to consider the best structure for the marketing function. Rupert Pybus remains global head of brand and marketing, based in London.”
GAM had $119 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
