Norwood Contributory Retirement scouting for natural resources manager

Norwood (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for a public natural resources manager to run $3 million to $5 million, said Debra A. Wilkes, executive director of the pension fund.

This would be a new allocation for the $147 million pension fund, Ms. Wilkes said.

Responding firms must have been operating for at least five years and have managed one or more public natural resources strategies totaling at least $250 million and total assets under management exceeding $500 million as of Dec. 31. Closed-end strategies and first-time funds will not be considered.

Consultant Meketa Investment Group is assisting with the search. The RFP is available on Meketa's website. Proposals are due by 3 p.m. EDT on April 28. A time frame for a hiring decision has not yet been established.
