Derry Pickford was named principal, asset allocation, at Aon Hewitt, said a spokeswoman for the consultant.
The position is new. Mr. Pickford reports to Tapan Datta, head of global asset allocation.
“(Mr.) Pickford brings a combination of both extensive market and theoretical knowledge, gained in a career that has ranged across the hedge fund industry, asset management and macroeconomic consultancy,” said Mr. Datta in a news release.
Mr. Pickford was co-head of asset allocation at Ashburton Investments. It could not be confirmed whether Mr. Pickford has been replaced. Executives could not be reached for comment by press time.
