Toby Hoden joined Russell Investments as its first chief marketing officer, Russell spokeswoman Kate Bauman said in an email.
Mr. Hoden will lead a recently created global marketing team, “bringing corporate and regional capabilities together,” Ms. Bauman said in the email. He will report to CEO Len Brennan and will join the firm's executive committee.
For the past 13 years, Mr. Hoden had been chief marketing officer at Voya Financial, focused on asset management marketing. Kristopher Kagel, a Voya spokesman, could not provide information about whether Mr. Hoden was replaced.
