Andrew Freeman joined H.I.G. Capital’s middle-market private equity business as a managing director, said Rick Rosen, executive managing director, in an email.
In a new position, Mr. Freeman will head the food and agribusiness team at H.I.G.’s middle-market unit. He will be based in San Francisco.
“We have long/successful history in food/(agriculture), but have not had a dedicated team there before. Andy provides that,” Mr. Rosen wrote.
He was a partner at private equity firm Paine Schwartz Partners, formerly known as Paine & Partners. The company said in a statement that the firm continues to be led by its chairman and CEO, who are supported by its partners along with the rest of the firm’s investment and operating professionals.
