Laurence Boone was appointed global head of multiasset client solutions, trading and securities finance at AXA Investment Managers, a spokeswoman said.
Ms. Boone will replace Julien Fourtou effective April 3. Mr. Fourtou is leaving to pursue a new entrepreneurial project, AXA IM said in a news release.
Ms. Boone will also retain her role as chief economist at AXA Group, and as head of research and investment strategy at AXA IM. She will continue to report to Andrea Rossi, CEO of AXA Investment Managers.
“(Ms. Boone) has demonstrated a strong understanding of AXA IM and our ambitions and has proven to be a prominent thought leader on the financial markets in which we invest. She will be supported in this new role by experienced leadership teams, both at (multiasset client solutions) and (trading and securities) and in research and investment strategy,” Mr. Rossi said in the news release.
Mr. Fourtou was not available to comment on his plans by press time.
