David Mazza joined OppenheimerFunds as head of beta solutions investment marketing and exchange-traded funds specialists, a company spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Mr. Mazza will lead OppenheimerFunds' beta solutions investment marketing and ETF specialist teams by overseeing thought leadership and client education on ETFs and smart beta. He will be based in New York and report to Sharon French, head of beta solutions.
Mr. Mazza was head of ETF and mutual fund research at State Street Global Advisors. His responsibilities are being handled by Matthew Bartolini, vice president and head of SPDR Americas research, said SSGA spokesman Andrew Hopkins.
OppenheimerFunds has $220 billion in assets under management.
