Erie County Deferred Compensation Committee, Buffalo, N.Y., hired Hyas Group as its first ongoing investment consultant, said Scott Bylewski, the county's deputy director of budget and management, in an email.
The $230 million 457 plan issued an RFP in November on the advice of legal counsel after the committee decided it wanted to have an ongoing consultant following a search in 2015 for a consultant to assist in the search for a record keeper.
Hyas Group had been hired to assist in the search, which resulted in the rehiring of VALIC.
Other finalists were Fiduciary Firewall Consulting and Glading Group.
