Katharine Morris joined Northern Trust as head of global fund services sales in the U.K., said a spokeswoman.
The position is new. Ms. Morris is responsible for investment operations, outsourcing, fund administration and asset servicing offerings aimed at investment managers domiciled in the U.K.
“(Ms. Morris') experience working with some of the U.K.'s most sophisticated asset managers will be valuable as we continue to grow our global funds services business in the region, working closely with prospective clients to tailor solutions that meet their specific needs,” said Laurence Everitt, head of global fund services for the U.K., in a news release.
Northern Trust had $6.7 trillion in assets under custody and $942 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
Ms. Morris joined Northern Trust from HSBC Securities Servicing where she was head of U.K. sales. A spokesman for HSBC was not available to comment on Ms. Morris' replacement by press time.
