Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System, Harrisburg, is searching for a private markets investment consultant, confirmed Evelyn Williams, spokeswoman for the $51.3 billion pension plan.
The search is being conducted because the system's contract with its current consultant, Portfolio Advisors, is expiring later this year. Portfolio Advisors is invited to rebid.
Private markets includes private equity, venture capital, special situations, private high yield, and in-house co-investment and secondary programs related to private equity, high yield and real estate. The pension fund had 15.2% of the portfolio allocated to private markets as of Dec. 31.
The RFP is available on the state's procurement website. Proposals are due by 1:30 p.m. EDT on April 20. A selection date was not disclosed by press time.
