Douglas J. Vander Linde was named president of Herndon Capital Management, said spokeswoman Dawn Swift.
Effective Wednesday, he replaced Geoffrey Nnadi, who was serving as interim president and is president and CEO of parent company Atlanta Life Financial Group. Mr. Nnadi will continue in his leadership roles at Atlanta Life and remain on Herndon's board.
Mr. Vander Linde is responsible for developing the firm's global vision and strategy as well as managing the overall operations of the firm. He is responsible for playing an active role in the marketing and client services efforts. He reports to Mr. Nnadi and the board. Mr. Vander Linde was head of global distribution at Towers Watson Investment Management U.K. Willis Towers Watson spokesman Ed Emerman said his responsibilities are being handled by other consultants.
