Stefan Dunatov is leaving his role as chief investment officer at Coal Pension Trustee Services, Sheffield, England, which manages the assets of two defined benefits funds, according to a spokeswoman.
The executive said the timeline for Mr. Dunatov's departure has not yet been confirmed.
Coal Pension Trustee Services manages the assets of the £10.5 billion Mineworkers' Pension Scheme and the £9.6 billion ($11.9 billion) British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme. Both funds are closed.
Mr. Dunatov has been CIO since 2012. Prior to that, he was senior investment strategist at Coal Pension Trustee Services.
