Watertown (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an active U.S. small-cap equity manager to run approximately $4.5 million for the $154 million defined benefit plan.
Fiduciary Investment Advisors, investment consultant to the plan, is assisting with the search.
The search is being done to comply with state procurement laws that require contracts to go out to bid every five years, said Maura Goulart, director of client services at Fiduciary Investment Advisors. Marc A. Ursin, senior performance analyst at FIA, said Wellington Management is the current manager and is invited to rebid.
The RFP is available on Fiduciary Investment Advisors' website.
Proposals are due by 4 p.m. EDT on March 21. A selection is expected to be made in the second quarter, said Ms. Goulart.
