Christophe Roupie was named head of Europe and Asia for electronic fixed-income trading venue MarketAxess Europe and Trax, its data and post-trade matching subsidiary.
The position is new, said Kyle White, MarketAxess spokesman. He will report to Richard M. McVey, MarketAxess CEO.
Mr. Roupie had been CEO at a Swiss family office since September 2015; prior to that, he was global head of trading and securities financing at AXA Investment Managers. Paul Squires replaced him at AXA.
Mr. White said the firm could not disclose the name of the family office Mr. Roupie led.
