Marietta, Ga., is searching for a bundled provider for the city’s $35 million 457 plan and $34 million 401(a) plan, said Beth Keller, city purchasing manager.
The city issued the RFP because it intends to consolidate the plans to a single provider, the RFP said, although the city will still consider hiring separate providers “if unable to consolidate” the plans.
The 401(a) plan’s current provider is Principal Financial Group, and the 457 plan’s current providers are ICMA-RC and Nationwide Financial. All firms are invited to rebid.
Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on March 24. A timeline for a decision has yet to be determined.
The RFP is available on the city’s website. Registration is required.
