Richard Stensrud was named executive director of the $12.8 billion Ohio School Employees Retirement System, Columbus, spokesman Tim Barbour said.
He will replace Lisa J. Morris, who retired Oct. 31. Mr. Stensrud is currently CEO of the $8 billion Sacramento County (Calif.) Employees' Retirement System. In a news release, SCERS said Mr. Stensrud is remaining as CEO until May to ensure a smooth transition to a new CEO following a national search for a replacement.
Mr. Stensrud will start at SERS sometime in late May, Mr. Barbour said. Deputy Executive Director Helen Ninos is currently serving as interim director and will resume her previous duties upon Mr. Stensrud's arrival.
