Justine Anderson and Peter Loehnert were named global co-heads of transition management at BlackRock, according to an internal memo to staff obtained by Pensions & Investments.
They replace Lachlan French, who will leave the company in March to return to London and pursue opportunities outside of transition management, the memo said.
Mr. French had moved to San Francisco in 2015 when he assumed the duties of Monika Lindeman, who had retired as BlackRock’s head of transition management for the Americas.
Ms. Anderson will oversee trading and will report to Supurna VedBrat, managing director and deputy head of trading and co-head of electronic trading and market structure, and Chris Vogel, managing director and global head of fixed income and currency trading.
Mr. Loehnert will assume responsibility for client strategy and report to Tarek Mahmoud, managing director and head of BlackRock's trading and liquidity strategies group for the international region.
Ms. Anderson and Mr. Loehnert, who are managing directors, were co-heads of Europe, Middle East and Africa transition management. Nick Hogwood, managing director, EMEA transition management, will assume their duties.
