Fred Wang will join ASP Capital as partner, a new position at the subsidiary of Adams Street Partners, confirmed Shree Dhond, an Adams Street spokesman.
Mr. Wang, who will start April 1, will focus on direct investing in enterprise and security software companies. ASP Capital is Adams Street’s venture capital and growth equity investment arm.
He is a general partner at Trinity Ventures. Kalee Sennelli, marketing manager at Trinity Ventures, said executives at the firm declined to comment.
