Vincent Garzarella was hired as vice president of tax-exempt markets for Lincoln Financial Group’s retirement plan services business.
The position is new, spokeswoman Kelly DeAngelis wrote in an email. Mr. Garzarella will be responsible for “diversifying our product portfolio, ensuring we have the right solutions in place to meet the needs of plan sponsors and continue to drive positive outcomes for participants,” said Ralph Ferraro, senior vice president and head of product for retirement plan services, said in a news release Thursday.
Mr. Garzarella was department head of 403(b)(7) and 401(k) client administration at Vanguard Group, according to the Lincoln Financial news release. Emily Farrell, a Vanguard spokeswoman, declined to comment.
