Isabelle Scemama was named CEO of AXA Investment Managers’ real assets unit, while Heidi Ridley and Kathleen Houssels were appointed CEO and global chief investment officer, respectively, at the firm’s Rosenberg equities division.
Ms. Scemama replaced Pierre Vaquier, who has left the firm effective immediately, said a spokeswoman. He will pursue other interests, a news release said.
Ms. Scemama reports to Andrea Rossi, CEO of AXA IM. Ms. Scemama was CEO at AXA IM’s real assets division in France.
Ms. Ridley and Ms. Houssels replace Jeremy Baskin, who holds both roles until March 1. Mr. Baskin will remain at the firm in an advisory capacity for several months, ensuring a smooth transaction for clients, said a news release. His future plans could not be learned.
Ms. Ridley will also report to Mr. Rossi. Ms. Houssels will report to Ms. Ridley.
Ms. Ridley was global chief operating officer and chief of staff for the Rosenberg equities division. Ms. Houssels was head of research and investment models at Rosenberg equities, responsible for advanced factor and stock selection models, new model and strategy development, and research. Details on their replacements could not be learned by press time.
AXA IM’s real assets unit managed more than €70 billion ($78.6 billion), while the Rosenberg equities division managed €18 billion as of Sept. 30.
Total assets managed by AXA IM stood at €700 billion as of Sept. 30.
