Erich Gerth will become CEO at BlueBay Asset Management later this year, confirmed a spokeswoman.
The appointment will be effective on or around May 1.
Mr. Gerth will replace Alex Khein, who will leave the firm at the end of the year to undertake a new venture related to his interests in the potential impact of technology on the money management industry, said the spokeswoman. Mr. Khein is also co-CEO of BlueBay parent firm RBC Global Asset Management. Co-CEO Damon Williams will become the sole CEO of RBC GAM.
Mr. Khein will remain at BlueBay to support and advise Mr. Gerth in his role until he leaves.

Mr. Turkinan also oversees consultant relations for BlueBay, and will continue with those responsibilities, said the spokeswoman.
