Kevin Lynch, principal and co-founder of real estate consulting and money management firm Townsend Group, died suddenly over the weekend at his home in Naples, Fla., according to a news release from the company.
“Kevin's energy and optimism were infectious, and his passing is a true loss to all fortunate enough to have had him in their lives,” the release stated. “Please remember Kevin and his three children and loving family in your thoughts.”
Mr. Lynch co-founded Townsend Group with CEO Terry Ahern in 1983. Townsend Group has $179 billion in assets under advisement. Mr. Lynch was responsible for new product development, primarily initiating strategic relationships for customized portfolios.
“Kevin leaves us a persevering legacy of camaraderie and teamwork endemic to our culture … and he leaves our clients, our partners and our firm in a position of strength and endless resolve,” the release stated.
Funeral and memorial service arrangements will be announced when they are finalized.
