San Francisco State University Foundation hired Cambridge Associates to provide outsourced CIO services, said Venesia Thompson-Ramsay, chief financial officer and chief operating officer, in an email.
The $65 million foundation issued an RFP in June for either a traditional investment consultant or outsourced CIO to provide investment management and/or advisory services currently handled by the foundation’s investment committee internally. Cambridge takes on its duties March 1.
Ms. Thompson-Ramsey said there were a total of four finalists but the names of the other finalists would not be disclosed.
