Charlotte Walsh was named director, institutional sales at ClearBridge Investments, said Madelyn McHugh, spokeswoman for parent company Legg Mason.
The position is new. Ms. Walsh will join the firm’s institutional sales team and help bolster the resources available to ClearBridge’s investment consultants and institutional clients. She will report to Lori McEvoy, managing director and head of institutional sales, out of ClearBridge’s New York headquarters.
Ms. Walsh was a consultant relations director at Putnam Investments. The consultant relations team is assuming her responsibilities as the company looks to add to the team, said spokesman Jon Goldstein.
ClearBridge Investments had $112 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
