Daniel Morrison was named senior vice president and head of the Empower Retirement’s government markets segment, spokesman Steve Gawlik said in an email.
Mr. Morrison replaces Brent Neese who left Empower in early January.
Mr. Morrison “leads Empower’s government markets segment, which includes sales and service for some 9,300 government entities at the state, county or local level, totaling more than $116 billion in assets under administration,” Mr. Gawlik said.
Mr. Morrison reports to Edmund F. Murphy III, Empower’s president.
Previously, Mr. Morrison was vice president and practice leader of Empower’s non-profit segment. Mr. Gawlik did not have information on a replacement.
Empower has more than $450 billion in total defined contribution assets under administration.
