New Bedford Retirement seeking core-plus fixed income

New Bedford (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is considering allocating about $40 million to a core-plus fixed-income portfolio.

Segal Marco Advisors, investment consultant to the $275 million pension fund, is assisting with the search. Only commingled funds will be considered.

The RFP is available on Segal Marco's website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. EST Feb. 28. A selection date was not disclosed.
