Weymouth (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an active international small-cap equity manager to run about $5 million.
The $174 million pension plan may hire more than one manager.
Fiduciary Investment Advisors, investment consultant to the plan, is assisting with the search.
This is a routine search done in compliance with procurement laws for Massachusetts public retirement systems requiring contracts to go out to bid every five years, said Maura Goulart, director of client services at Fiduciary Investment Advisors.
Incumbent international small-cap managers Acadian Asset Management and William Blair as its international small-cap equity growth manager currently manage about $5 million total. Ms. Goulart said both are expected to rebid.
The RFP is available on Fiduciary Investment Advisors’ website.
Proposals are due by 4 p.m. EST on Feb. 22. A selection is expected to be made in the second quarter.
