Todd Lapenna, Varun Kapoor and Sid Chandrasekaran joined StepStone's infrastructure and real assets team as a partner, head of investment operations and investment manager, respectively, spokeswoman Caroline Luz said.
All three are new positions. Mr. Lapenna was an investment manager on the new investments, real assets team at the $306.6 billion California Public Employees' Retirement System, Sacramento, said Megan White, CalPERS spokeswoman, in an email. CalPERS is currently recruiting for Mr. Lapenna's position, Ms. White said.
Mr. Kapoor was head of finance at infrastructure manager Hastings Funds Management. Mr. Chandrasekaran was assistant vice president at GIC Special Investments, the private equity arm of GIC, the Singapore sovereign wealth fund with estimated assets of more than $300 billion.
Nick Cleary, executive director-infrastructure debt at Hastings, and Jennifer Lewis, GIC spokeswoman, could not be reached by press time.
