Omaha (Neb.) Police and Fire Retirement System is conducting a shortlist search for an active domestic small-cap growth equity manager to run $31 million, said Stephen Curtiss, city finance director and member of the board of trustees.
The $623 million pension fund is conducting the search following the termination of Palisade Capital Management from a similar portfolio because of a number of other redemptions from the strategy, Mr. Curtiss said. The assets are currently parked in an exchange-traded fund, Mr. Curtiss said.
While a timeline on the search has yet to be determined, Mr. Curtiss said he imagined a new manager will likely be selected within 60 to 90 days.
