Jeffrey S. Davis was named executive director of the $2.3 billion Seattle City Employees’ Retirement System, a pension fund spokeswoman said in an email.
He replaces Ken Nakatsu, who has been serving as interim executive director since previous leader Cecelia Carter resigned in mid-2013. Mr. Nakatsu had previously retired as departmental operations chief for the city of Seattle, and will be re-entering retirement.
Mr. Davis was previously the pension fund’s chief finance and operations officer. That position has yet to be filled.
