Jeff McCarthy was named CEO, exchange-traded funds at BNY Mellon Asset Services.
The position is new, according to a news release from Bank of New York Mellon.
Mr. McCarthy will oversee development of services for ETF trading and administration. He will report to Frank LaSalla, CEO of BNY Mellon's global structured products and alternative investment services business.
Mr. McCarthy was vice president and head of exchange-traded product listings and trading at Nasdaq. A search is underway for his replacement, a Nasdaq spokesman said.
