Aurora (Colo.) General Employees’ Retirement Plan hired Milliman as an actuary and BKD as an auditor, said Thomas Connell, pension plan administrator, in an e-mail.
RFPs were issued in June due to a policy that services go out to bid every five years.
Milliman replaced incumbent actuary Gabriel Roeder Smith, which did rebid. Incumbent auditor CliftonLarsonAllen had already served two five-year-terms and could not rebid.
Milliman and BKD’s contracts started earlier this month.
The pension fund has about $420 million in assets.
