Bryan Weeks is rejoining Russell Investments as head of its Americas institutional business, confirmed spokeswoman Kate Bauman in an e-mail.
Mr. Weeks replaces Greg Gilbert, who is departing “to pursue other personal and business interests,” according to a Russell news release.
Mr. Gilbert had been in his position since 2010. Efforts to reach him were unsuccessful.
Mr. Weeks had previously been managing director of Russell Investments’ institutional relationship management team. He left in 2005 to join Silver Creek Capital Management, where he was the CEO.
Bob Ratliffe, a managing director at Silver Creek, said in an interview that Mr. Weeks will not be replaced. He said his duties will be divided among the firm’s management.
Silver Creek manages $7 billion in hedge fund, private credit and real asset strategies, and like Russell, is based in Seattle.
Russell had more than $257 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30 and $2.4 trillion in assets under advisement as of June 30.
