Pennsylvania Treasury Department, Harrisburg, is seeking proposals from executive search firms to assist in the hunt for a new chief investment officer, said an RFP on the department's website.
The CIO will be expected to manage the treasury's approximately $20 billion in investments, which includes the PA 529 Guaranteed Savings Plan.
Sandy Leopold was the previous CIO. Mr. Leopold retired in December, said Scott Sloat, treasury spokesman.
The RFP is available on the treasury's website. Proposals are due by 10 a.m. EST on Jan. 25. A selection is expected to be made in late January or early February.
