Alaska Retirement Management Board, Juneau, is searching for a small-cap growth equity manager to manage up to $100 million initially, said Judith Hall, liaison officer, in an e-mail.
A funding source has not been determined.
The reason for the search and whether an RFP will be issued could not immediately be learned. Ms. Hall did not provide additional information on the search by press time.
Separately, the board removed international large-cap equity manager Capital Group from its watchlist. Capital Group was put on watch in 2015 because of underperformance. The board had $671.8 million invested in the Capital Group strategy, which is now performing in line with its benchmarks, Ms. Hall wrote.
The board oversees more than $28 billion in retirement assets.
