John Plansky was named executive vice president and global head of State Street Global Exchange, State Street Corp.'s data and analytics unit.
Mr. Plansky will take on responsibilities that had been handled by Lou Maiuri, executive vice president at State Street Corp. and head of State Street Global Markets, State Street's asset servicing business; Mr. Maiuri was also head of State Street Global Exchange. Mr. Plansky will report to Mr. Mauiri, said Julie Kane, State Street spokeswoman.
Mr. Plansky will oversee State Street Global Exchange's global strategy as well as new product development.
Mr. Plansky was principal at Strategy&, PricewaterhouseCoopers' strategy consulting business, where he led the U.S. business. Michael Connolly, senior leader for global platforms at PwC, will now also lead the U.S. business, said Siobhan Ford, PwC spokeswoman.
