Robert Holford is joining the Financial Conduct Authority in the U.K., a spokesman for the regulatory body said.
The spokesman declined to comment on Mr. Holford's role at the regulator.
Mr. Holford will be leaving Spence Johnson at the end of February, where he is retirement lead and head of strategic consulting, the firm said in a news release.
Magnus Spence, managing director at Spence Johnson, will take over Mr. Holford's retirement and strategic consulting responsibilities for the foreseeable future, the firm added.
“(Robert Holford) has been instrumental in the success Spence Johnson has seen in the last four years, especially around the development of our retirement research and in our strategic consulting business,” Mr. Spence said in the news release.
