Rosina Barnett was named head of U.K. consultant relations at Northern Trust Asset Management, the firm's spokeswoman confirmed.
The position is new. Based in London, Ms. Barnett is focusing on developing and broadening relationships with investment consultants with particular emphasis on factor investing; environmental, social and governance investing; liquidity solutions; and custom passive exposures.
“We are seeing both ESG and factor investing growing in importance for U.K. pension funds — areas where Northern Trust has significant expertise,” said Hazel McNeilage, managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, in a news release.
Ms. Barnett worked at Fidelity International and BlackRock as a consultant relations director prior to this appointment.
A spokeswoman for Fidelity confirmed Ms. Barnett left in July and was not replaced.
