Damian Graham was named chief investment officer of First State Super on Monday.
Mr. Graham — who had overseen more than A$20 billion in assets at StatePlus, the financial planning firm First State Super acquired earlier this year — took on the role of interim CIO of the firm’s combined assets in August after CIO Richard Brandweiner announced he would join London-based impact investment firm LeapFrog Investments.
Michael Baldwin, a spokesman for First State Super, said the role of StatePlus CIO won’t be filled. Mr. Graham will continue to oversee both the superannuation and retirement savings sides of the business, he said.
The Sydney-based fund oversees A$51 billion ($38 billion) in superannuation assets and A$24 billion in retirement assets.
