South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission is searching for one or more private markets consultants for the $28.6 billion South Carolina Retirement Systems, which it oversees.
The system’s private market assets totaled $6.35 billion as of Sept. 30, with $2.7 billion invested in and committed to private equity; private debt, $1.8 billion; real estate, $1.6 billion; and infrastructure, $281 million.
The search for specialist consultants for asset classes including private equity, real estate, private debt and infrastructure, is the commission’s first, said Danny Varat, spokesman, in an e-mail.
The RFP is available on the commission’s website and responses are due by 5 p.m. EST on Feb. 1.
Finalists will be interviewed May 4-5, with the contract set to start Aug. 1.
