David J. Rothenberg was named managing director and global head of the institutional client group of MetLife Investment Management, spokesman John Calagna said.
The position is new. Mr. Rothenberg will be focusing primarily on institutional sales. He will report to Joseph Pollaro, chief operating officer of MetLife IM.
Mr. Rothenberg was managing director of Americas institutional sales at Russell Investments. Eric Macy, managing director, institutional sales, has assumed his responsibilities, said Russell spokeswoman Kate Bauman.
MetLife IM had $558.9 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
