Jordan Bond was named a senior portfolio manager for the U.S. active fixed-income team at Legal & General Investment Management America, spokeswoman Audrey Belloff said.
The position is new. Mr. Bond will be responsible for trading in the banking and financial sectors for the team, which currently manages more than $57 billion in fixed-income strategies. He will report to John Bender, chief investment officer of U.S. fixed income at LGIMA and interim CEO.
Mr. Bond was vice president, portfolio manager at Pacific Investment Management Co., where he was a member of a team responsible for managing investment-grade assets across the firm. It could not be learned by press time whether he was replaced; PIMCO spokeswoman Agnes Crane could not be immediately reached.
LGIMA has more than $137 billion in assets under management.
