Aaron Meder was named CEO of Legal & General Investment Management America, said a spokeswoman in an e-mail.
He replaces Robert Moore, who left the firm in September. The spokeswoman declined to comment on Mr. Moore's future plans. John Bender, chief investment officer of U.S. fixed income and co-head of global fixed income at LGIMA, had been filling in as interim CEO.
Previously, Mr. Meder was head of investment at affiliate Legal & General Investment Management in London. He will be replaced by Anton Eser, co-head of LGIM's global fixed-income unit, who will take on the title of chief investment officer of LGIM.
Messrs. Meder and Eser will report to Mark Zinkula, CEO at LGIM.
Mr. Eser will be replaced in his role as co-head of global fixed income by Colin Reedie, head of European Credit.
LGIMA manages more than $137 billion in assets. LGIM's total assets are roughly £853 billion ($1 trillion).
