Medford (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an emerging markets equity manager to run an initial $5.5 million, said an RFP on investment consultant NEPC's website.
Managers must have at least $500 million in emerging markets equity assets under management and a track record of at least 10 years. Only mutual funds or commingled funds will be considered.
The reason for the search and funding sources could not immediately be learned.
The RFP is available on NEPC's website. Proposals are due by 4 p.m. EST on Nov. 28. A timeline for a hiring decision was not disclosed.
The pension fund has $181 million in assets.
